Nashville Event Photographer – Gaylord Springs Country Club

Wow! What a way to bring in the new year by doing what I love to do…to capture passing moments. I was invited by some of my dear friends to come out and shoot a special benefit called “Help Chuck Russell” at the Gaylord Springs Clubhouse in Opryland. It was such an awesome night to see how many people turned out to help raise money for such a great guy! They even called in Dennis Haskins to help promote the evening! (You’ve seen Dennis as the principal on the TV show “Saved by the Bell”, Mr. Beldig!) The guys were trying to sell at least 200 tickets but had to finally start turning people away after selling 320 TICKETS! They were able to raise over $4,000 to help Chuck Russell! On the Road to WPPI!

When I heard about WPPI being in Las Vegas, I ran this crazy idea by Jayne, my fiance! I said, “So what do you think about me flying into Kansas City to pick you up and we drive to this Photography conference in Las Vegas?” She said, OK! So, I caught my flight into KC and we packed up the rental car and hit the road! What an awesome adventure this was! The drive took us 20 hours just to get there! Luckily we had some friends that we had met through Twitter that let us stay with them in Denver. The next part of the leg, we would be traveling through Utah to get to Las Vegas and I remember going to this certain location in Moab, Utah when I was 17 years old and I really wanted to show Jayne this place! We woke up that morning in Denver and headed to The Arches National Park in Moah, Utah. As you can see from the pictures below, this place is just amazing. I could’ve spent a week here easily! I really wanted to do a photoshoot here and being the trooper that she is, Jayne jumped in the park bathroom and came out looking awesome! OH, notice in this picture below…the bottom left picture, you can see me and Jayne under this ginormous rock waving to the camera! It kinda looks like “Where’s Waldo & his wife, Wilma”!

Winter Retreat ‘09 (Virginia Nazarene District)

Aside from shooting photos, I have been a musician/worship leader for most of my life and I often get the opportunity to lead worship at cool events like this one in Virginia. This weekend was such an amazing experience because I got to watch over 600 students come together to worship Jesus Christ. We had alot of fun as you can see from the posted video but God showed up in some powerful ways and did some serious healing in these kids lives. Here’s me and the band rockin’ it out to some Bon Jovi!

As alot of you know, I recently got engaged to a beautiful woman named Jayne! Jayne and her 2 awesome kids are still living in Kansas City while she wraps up her Chiropractic board exams. And if any of you have ever had a long distance relationship, you know that there’s a whole lot of travel involved! So Jayne and her daughter, Tori, were heading to St. Charles to attend the Joyce Meyer Women’s Conference and she asked me if I knew of any good photographers that would so kindly meet them in St. Charles to take some photos of them… (ahem…hint hint). (she has such lovely ways of saying, “hey baby, come take our pictures…)

I had a total blast hanging out with the girls and shooing pictures of them! Tori even took over my camera and got some awesome shots of me and jayne! As you can see, we got some beautiful shots had us some serious fun!

Yeah, I guess the pictures below pretty much show that we just had an absolutely boring time without ANY laughs! LOL! Ok.. so maybe we leaned a little to the weird side on these photos..

I love the picture on the right…below. We were attempting to build a pyramid where we set my camera on the ground and put it on self-timer and then everybody stacks on me in 10 seconds! Well, I was having trouble getting the camera focused and I finally got it focused and shutter pushed, I had to get my big butt off the ground and jump back ONTO the ground into position so the other 2 could stack on top of me and here comes Jayne flying….and CLICK!!! LOL!
